New pictures of the kids

Here are some new pictures of the kids that I took for my father-in-laws birthday present.
Hope you enjoy them!!

Lucas (who is feeling MUCH better now)

Emma and Lucas

Emma "texting" her "boyfriend".

Why can't they always be this cute?

I just have to say for the record that I thought all the pictures were going to turn out horrible until I got them on my computer and was able to play around with them.

Let the GAMES begin!!

Michael and I have both decided that we are officially FAT....but not too happy. So, today marks the beginning of the Osborne Family Biggest Loser!! We have until the end of May to see who can lose the most weight based on body percentages. I have to say that since I am lighter to begin with, that I am going to have an easier time losing the most percentage-wise HOWEVER, I tend to lack the motivation to keep up with the exercise. So, if any of you out there have any advice, I am all ears!! What is the prize you may ask?? Well, we haven't actually decided yet....any suggestions?

Happy Birthday Grandpa Oz!!!

My wonderful father-in-law, Phillip Eugene Osborne turns 70 today!!! He is an amazing person and I feel incredibly blessed to be able to have him in my life. We really appreciate everything that he has done for us over the years and we want him to know just how much he means to us!! We love you Grandpa Oz!! Hope you have a marvelous day!!!

PS For any of you single ladies out there, he is dating!! (After tax season of course!)

Pay it forward

This is a fun little tag game that I answered on my friend Stacy's Blog:

This is how it works..... The first 3 people to leave a comment on this will receive a hand made gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. There's a small catch...You knew there would be didn't you? Post this on your blog then come back and leave a comment, telling me you're in. Fun, huh? Remember, only the first 3 comments receive the gift.

Come on now, you know you want something made just for you by the newly anointed "Martha Stewart". :-)

What happens when Lucas gets sick and Mom is busy taking care of him...

Yes, that is a GIANT pile of laundry with both my kids lost somewhere in the mess!! Lucas has been pretty sick for the last week so the laundry has been done, just not put away. He has thrush, RSV, two pretty nasty ear infections, plus he is teething and has been running out both ends. However, he is an AMAZING kid!! When I took him to the doctor, she looked in his ears and said that any other kid would've been screaming if their ears looked like his. Not mine though!! What did he do? Smiled and tried to get her stethoscope from her!! He will get a coughing attack, hack his lungs out and then look at me and break out in a HUGE grin. It kind of scares me because if he hadn't been throwing up, I never would've taken him to the doctor. Back to the mountain of laundry, it only took about 2 hours to fold it all and put it away...

Valentines Day Party

In the fall, Emma started going to preschool. We got together with some other moms from church and started a co-op preschool group. We all trade off having preschool at our house every two weeks. It works out great because the kids LOVE going to each others' houses and the moms LOVE the time without their kids. Anyway, we got to have preschool at our house right before Valentine's Day so we decided to have a PARTY!!!
The kids got to decorate cookies and make valentines for each other and their families. They loved it!! I was also in charge of decorating for a youth dance on Valentines so that's why I have all these crazy decorations.

Who are those cute kids?

So, I really should have posted this sooner but here are all the California grandkids. We all got together for Kaela's 4th birthday party (which is why she is wearing a princess dress). The kids love getting together and running around like crazy kids. Kaela especially loves to hold Lucas when we go over and she can't wait to have a new baby in her house this summer.

My girls

Ok, so they really aren't "my" girls but here are my lovely Young Women. Starting on the left is Jennie, Anna and Kimberlee. I know, only three but they keep me on my toes all the time. I think that being in a small group has helped us get to know each other better than if there were a ton of girls. I love you girls!! I get one more girl next month so I'll add her picture when I get a chance to take it.

I am so proud of myself!!

So I know that to most people this doesn't really look that great or exciting, but I am going to toot my own horn for a minute here. I actually learned how to work my new sewing machine (new to me, it was Susan's) and I actually made something with it!! Yes, that's right, the girl who almost flunked the sewing part of home ec is back in the game and sewing. I made a blanket and some burp clothes for a friend who is having a baby. They were both pretty easy to do (I only had to unpick one of the burp clothes) but it still took me almost 3 hours to do it all. I'm sure the more I do, the faster I will get. By the way, I got the idea for the burp clothes from sugardoodle. It was on the Relief Society page under baby gift ideas. Really cute and easy.
