Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere

Yesterday,we headed down to the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkins. Emma grabbed a wagon as soon as we got there and traipsed all over the patch. Of course Mom had to take a few pictures....

Potty Princess

So, first off I have to apologize for the nudity in this picture but you have to admit that it is cute!! Emma has been using the potty for about 3 weeks now. Mommy and Daddy threw the smack down and said no diapers unless you are sleeping. Then we threw in the clincher and said if you go pee pee in your panties, there are no binkys for naps and if you go poo poo in your panties then the panties get thrown out. I have to say that we have only had to throw out one pair of panties so far. Anyway, I love this picture because she is sitting on the pot reading a magazine. Does that remind you of anyone????

We also had another big event in our family recently, Michael turned 40!! That's right, I said 40. I am officially married to an old man. We were going to go camping in Pismo Beach this weekend to celebrate but little Lucas P. got croup this week so we decided to stay at home. Emma insisted on making Daddy a cake for his birthday. We only put 12 candles on it because I didn't want to end up with a wax cake after all the candles melted. It's a good thing we did because when he blew them out, it was so smoky that we had to open all the windows so the smoke alarm wouldn't go off. Yes, I'm being serious. Of course the candles were from the dollar store so that may have something to do with it.

Hello everybody!! We have officially conquered technology and have finally started a blog!!!

Well, this is the latest edition to our little family. His name is Lucas Philip and he was born on August 5. He weighed 8 lbs 5 oz when he was born and is now over 13 lbs. He's quite the little chunker but we think it helps that he's also a really good sleeper. He is already in his own crib at night and will actually put himself to sleep. We just have to make sure he is full and warm and he is good to go. I know, I'm really lucky. Grandma Susie knew which baby to send us to make sure that we had at least one more....maybe two.....
