Stuck....in more ways than one

Poor Lucas. He is really trying to get the hang of this crawling thing but Mom and Dad are so mean!! They went and decided to live in a house with tile and wood laminate flooring downstairs. He is really trying his hardest to figure out how to crawl in the forward motion but the floors are too slippery and he ends up scooting backwards. I will be in the other room and hear him freaking out, come back in the front room and he is stuck. He is really good at scooting in between the couch and the wall. It's pretty funny. This morning he got himself stuck under his play pen.

I especially like the food caked around his mouth, don't you?

Mom's been busy...

I saw this cute fabric at the store the other day and thought to myself, "That would be really easy to make into a princess/fairy dress for Emma." It was already gathered and hemmed so all I had to do was close it up and add some ribbon for straps. She thinks it's really cool! Plus, it was REALLY easy.

For anyone wondering....yes I am obessed with sewing now. I'll move on in about a year. Until then.......be prepared for LOTS of posts about sewing.

I am WOMAN, hear me ROAR!!!

So I know that to everyone but me, this looks like a pile of fabric on the floor. However, let me inform all of you that this represents HOURS of labor on my behalf. What is it??? A skirt. That I made ALL BY MYSELF!!!! I know, I know, you can stop all the applause. :-)

I did make a few mistakes but overall, I think it turned out marvelous. By the way, can anyone enlighten me on the trick of sewing in zippers?? That part just about made me come unglued!! I will be making another one again (in a few months when my fingers heal from all the pin pricks) so keep posted for "The Skirt Returns"...

While my pretty one sleeps...

I love it when Lucas falls asleep. He is such an easy baby that all I have to do is lay him down in his crib and he hangs out for a few minutes until he falls asleep on his own (sorry Rachel, I don't know what to tell you). I love it because he and Emma are so used to each other that they will sleep through each other...ie if Emma is upstairs yelling, it doesn't even faze Lucas and if Lucas is fussing, Emma keeps on snoring. He actually gives me hope that there may be more little Osborne's running around here one of these days...

New pictures of the kids

Here are some new pictures of the kids that I took for my father-in-laws birthday present.
Hope you enjoy them!!

Lucas (who is feeling MUCH better now)

Emma and Lucas

Emma "texting" her "boyfriend".

Why can't they always be this cute?

I just have to say for the record that I thought all the pictures were going to turn out horrible until I got them on my computer and was able to play around with them.

Let the GAMES begin!!

Michael and I have both decided that we are officially FAT....but not too happy. So, today marks the beginning of the Osborne Family Biggest Loser!! We have until the end of May to see who can lose the most weight based on body percentages. I have to say that since I am lighter to begin with, that I am going to have an easier time losing the most percentage-wise HOWEVER, I tend to lack the motivation to keep up with the exercise. So, if any of you out there have any advice, I am all ears!! What is the prize you may ask?? Well, we haven't actually decided yet....any suggestions?

Happy Birthday Grandpa Oz!!!

My wonderful father-in-law, Phillip Eugene Osborne turns 70 today!!! He is an amazing person and I feel incredibly blessed to be able to have him in my life. We really appreciate everything that he has done for us over the years and we want him to know just how much he means to us!! We love you Grandpa Oz!! Hope you have a marvelous day!!!

PS For any of you single ladies out there, he is dating!! (After tax season of course!)
